Marvel President and producer Kevin Feige gave an interview to BET. The entire thing is well worth the read. He talks about Black Panther 2, the Netflix Marvel characters, Ironheart, and more.

You can read it here:

In an interview with Mashable, he said that the Disney + Marvel shows will do things that “shockingly and unexpectedly change those characters in big ways.” These changes will impact their next big screen MCU appearances.

Several Marvel  stars showed up at ACE Comic Con in Seattle. Here are a few interview bits from their panels.

Zoe Saldana: On the possibility of exploring “bad Gamora”: “It all depends. The technical answer is it all depends on what Marvel and James Gunn desire to do with the Guardians and with Gamora’s fate. I would eventually, there’s a part of me that wants her to go back, find her way back to the Guardians but there’s also a part of me that wants to explore a bad Gamora. I’ve never seen that and she’s, you know, she’s considered the most lethal assassin, the most lethal woman in the galaxy so I would want to see what that wrath looks like also because it would just give me layers to sort of work on. But yeah, I want her to get back to the Guardians.”

Josh Brolin on wanting to play Cable in the MCU: “Wait, Disney bought Fox?!” he joked. “I don’t know what’s going to happen. I’m actually, I’ve been calling them, like, ‘What’s the deal with Cable, man?’ Seriously, 100 percent serious. They’re figuring it out. It’s a big world now, it just got much, much bigger. So who knows?”

Chris Evans on whether the alternate timeline Steve lives with Peggy will be explored: “You know, I’m not sure I can give you those answers. That’s weak as shit, but ask the writers,” Evans said. “Look, I understand there’s a lot of things you can question about the time continuity but if there’s one thing I’ve learned about working with Marvel, they don’t leave stones unturned. They really don’t.”

(Whoa, Cap! Language!)

Deadline reported that some of the Avengers will show up at SDCC for a reunion: As an aside, Deadline is also hearing that some form of an Avengers reunion is in store down at SDCC. Some of the cast members could show up at the AGBO panel Friday, or at the Marvel panel on Saturday night. Consider it one last goodbye.”

SDCC has also released their Saturday schedule. Marvel’s panel will take place at 5:15 P.M. Pacific Time. They will have 90 minutes for their presentation. We will finally have information about what to expect for the beginning of Phase 4.

Sony producer Amy Pascal had this to say about the next Spider-Man MCU movie: “You know, I don’t think that we’re ready to tell anybody yet. But, yes, of course, there are so many stories that you can tell about Peter Parker and Spider-Man. I think the multi-verse and the Spider-Verse has opened up unlimited possibilities for us. I think that the great thing about what Stan [Lee] and Steve [Ditko] did, is that they are characters that can be reinterpreted. It’s 1962, it’s a long time for something to remain fresh, and yet it’s been able to. I think that’s because just like all of the artists who did all of the various spectacular, amazing, ultimate, everything has been able to reinterpret these kinds of classical characters. We’re able to do that, too.”

While promoting Spider-Man: Far From Home, Samuel L. Jackson had this to say about Nick Fury NOT being in the Black Widow movie: “It’s Natasha who was always been my favourite because I recruited her. So far, I’m not in her origin story movie [Laughs]. She’s the person I was closest to in that group.”

Rumors Of the Marvelous Kind

This week was full of exciting rumors and news about future Marvel projects.  It makes me excited about the future of the franchise and I hope that all of these things will eventually come to fruition.

Rumors

*********

HN Entertainment reported that Marvel is considering a movie for the team known as The Ultimates. The comics team is comprised of Captain Marvel, Black Panther, Spectrum, Miss America, and Blue Marvel. Carol Danvers, T’challa, and a young Monica Rambeau (Spectrum) have already been introduced.

I haven’t been into the comics side of Marvel for real long and know nothing about Blue Marvel, but I have read Miss America and would love to see America Chavez on screen. And if we’re getting Kate Bishop in the Hawkeye Disney+ series, it would be a great idea to introduce America either as Kate’s fellow Young Avenger or an Ultimate because I really want to see Kate and America’s friendship onscreen. Please, Marvel Studios, and thank you.

They are also considering movies and TV shows set in alternate timelines. I would love a show centered around Steve and Peggy living out their lives together and working as SHIELD agents. Or maybe a domestic sitcom about Tony and Pepper raising Morgan. A timeline where Tony continues to mentor Peter and trains Harley Keener as his replacement.

The ever-mysterious @RogerWardell has popped up again with an interesting Spider-Man rumor that contradicts what was previously reported.

According to Roger (if that’s his real name!) has tweeted that Deadpool will not show up in Spider-Man 3, but that “desperately wants Tom Hardy’s Venom.”

I would love to see Tom Holland’s Spider-Man go up against Venom! I think it’d be awesome! I really hope this pans out! But it will be awhile for the obvious reason that the sequel hasn’t been released yet!

He has also said that Marvel is interested in The Walking Dead’s David Morrissey “and are considering him for multiple roles in Phase 4.

MCU Cosmic shared a rumor that according to a “reliable source” a Power Pack TV show or movie is in “active development.” Power Pack consists of Alex, Julie, Katie, and Jack Power, a group of preteen superheroes. As someone with young cousins who enjoy superheroes, it would be wonderful to have an age-appropriate team of superheroes for younger viewers.

According to DiscussingFilm, there are plans to introduce Sentry into the MCU. Their article on Sentry was an interesting read and they do a far better job talking about the character than I could ever summarize for you here:
